Facts and figures 2011
Each year the Swedish National Agency for Education publishes a compilation of descriptive data on pre-school activities, school-age child care, schools and adult education. The report has been translated into English for the years 2000, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Sammanfattning 2: The report provides a general description of current childcare and educational organizations in Sweden, providing information on children/pupils and staff as well data on expenditure and results. The report describes conditions in all types of childcare and schools that fall within the sphere of responsibility of the National Agency for Education. The report also describes differences between different principal organizers and course providers and important changes that have occurred over time. The statistical information has mainly been obtained from the national monitoring system and is based on information reported by the principals to Statistics Sweden.
