  Descriptive data on childcare, schools and adult education in Sweden 2003
This report provides a general description of current childcare and educational organisation in Sweden, showing child/pupil and staff strengths along with expenditure and results for the various types of childcare and schooling.
  Sammanfattning 2: Summery: This presentation of facts is intended to provide an up-to-date overview of the organisation of the Swedish childcare and school system, the resources available and some aspects of the results achieved. The report describes conditions in all types of childcare and schools that fall within the sphere of responsibility of the National Agency for Education. The report also describes difference between different principal organisers and course providers and important changes compared with previous years. The statistical information has been largely obtained from the national monitoring system and is based on information reported by the principals to Statistics Sweden. Readers who are interested in more detailed statistics may consult the reports Childcare, schools and adult education 2002, part 1, 2 and 3, which are included in the national cross-sector series, Official statistics of Sweden.
