The syllabuses are also spplicable to the upper-secondary-level courses of the National Adult Education Programme. There are 16 national programmes for pupils to choose between. All the programmes include the core subjects Swedish, English, Civics, Religious Education, Mathematics, Nature Studies, Physical Education and Health, and Art Education. Each programme contains in addition programme-specific subjects, which give it its particular character, its specialist direction and identity.
