Sammanfattning 2: The book describes the role of the teacher, and presents some historical themes concerning sexuality education, homosexuality, masturbation and abortion. It also gives an account of psychosexual development, and shows the methods used in Swedish schools to create dialogue between young people. Finally, it treats the issues of sexual violence, and sexual and reproductive rights. Its purposes are to provide an overview of how education in the arena of sexuality and human relationships works today and to suggest guidelines for how it will develop and be practised in the future. We are striving to provide a picture of the adolescent world, and thoughts and feelings within it, as a means to achieve better communication between adults and the young.
